2011 will mark Ryan’s third season as General Manager of the Lake Erie Crushers, and ninth season total working in baseball. Ryan oversees the day to day operations of the team and is heavily involved with sponsorship sales, media planning and community involvement. In the community Ryan currently sits on the board of the French Creek YMCA as well as the Leadership Committee of the American Heart Association Heart Walk.

Ryan joined the Lake Erie Crushers after five seasons with the West Virginia Power, Class A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Ryan spent his final two seasons as the West Virginia Power’s General Manager. Prior to working for the Power, he completed his MBA in Marketing at the Kelley School of Business – Indiana University. Ryan also worked for three years in a variety of positions with Indiana University Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports, located in both Bloomington and Indianapolis, Indiana as well as Dallas, Texas.

Ryan started his career in 1998 with the Erie SeaWolves. During his stay in Erie he rose from an intern to the Director of Sales and Promotions. His start in sports began with an internship with the Florida Citrus Bowl in 1996 where he had the opportunity to work with the qualifying rounds of Olympic Soccer and the NFL.

A native of Boonton, New Jersey, Ryan graduated from Indiana University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.
