Fireworks, Beach Towels and More

AVON, Ohio — The Lake Erie Crushers return to All Pro Freight Stadium after the All-Star break for a fun-filled, action-packet nine-game homestand that kicks off with a three-game set against the Windy City ThunderBolts Friday, July 16.

The series opener brings another exciting Fireworks Friday to the ballpark so fans should plan to stay at the stadium after the game for what promises to be a beautiful display. The 7:05 first pitch is also Facebook Friday, where fans have voted to make the game a “red-out,” so fans should wear red to the stadium. The Facebook Friday survey also included promotional aspects of the evening such as music, in-game contests and more.

Fans should arrive early for Saturday’s 7:05 contest because the first 1,000 to arrive at All Pro Freight Stadium will receive a Crushers beach towel courtesy of Dr. Tom Leatherman D.D.S. and The Morning Journal. For some post-game entertainment, Dr. Leatherman’s band Fireside will perform on the picnic plaza at the conclusion of the contest.

Sunday is another great opportunity to bring the family to the ballpark with the Family 4-Pack presented by 95.5 The Fish. Buy four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and four bags of Ballreich’s chips for just $44. It’s also Lakewood/Rocky River Community Day presented by Cleveland State University- West Center. Citizens of those cities will receive a $1 discount on tickets and local businesses will be set up on the concourse. For a special treat after the game, it’s Kids-Run-the-Bases presented by Chick-fil-A.

The Lake Erie Crushers, the 2009 Frontier League Champions, play ball at All Pro Freight Stadium located in Avon, OH. Beginning in 2010, All Pro Freight Stadium will also be home to the Cleveland State University baseball team. The Frontier League is an independent baseball league with 12 teams operating throughout the Midwest.
