Thursday, June 10, 2010 Crushers Return Friday for Six-Game Homestand |
AVON, Ohio - The Lake Erie Crushers open a six-game homestand full of exciting promotions on Friday, June 11 at All Pro Freight Stadium.
Things get started at 7:05 p.m. Friday for the first of three games against the Gateway Grizzlies with a spectacular post-game fireworks display. In addition, the Crushers will don tie-dyed jerseys to celebrate retro night and after the game, the jerseys will be auctioned to benefit the Crushers Cares, the newly-formed non-profit arm of the team.
The first 1,000 fans for Saturday's 7:05 first pitch will receive a free Crushers hat courtesy of LifeShare Community Blood Services and ESPN 850 WKNR. LifeShare will also hold a blood drive in the cul de sac outside All Pro Freight Stadium from 5 to 7 p.m. In addition, over 400 Boy Scouts will camp out at the stadium Saturday evening. To top it all off, it's Superhero Night at the ballpark. Crushers staff will be in costume and fans are encouraged to show up as their favorite character as well.
Sunday's 5:05 start brings another Family 4-Pack presented by 95.5 The Fish, where fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and four bags of Ballreich's potato chips for just $44. It's also Country Western Night, so fans should bring their cowboy hats and boots and get ready for a hoedown at the ballpark.
The Crushers' Dollar Dog night is Monday evening when the Crushers open a three-game series with the Washington Wild Things at 7:05 p.m. The club is also offering its first Senior Discount Night of the season as fans 60-and-over can purchase home box tickets for just $6. Monday is also the first Baseball Bingo night of the season.
Tuesday evening at All Pro Freight Stadium is Ladies Night presented by Seagram's. The Crushers encourage fans to wear red for the 7:05 start in support of the American Heart Association. It's also another Twofer Tuesday, with selected concessions items for just $2, including draft beers. The Tuesday College ID Night promotion continues as well, as students with a valid ID can purchase general admission tickets for only $2.
Lake Erie wraps up the homestand with a 7:05 start for Elyria Community Night presented by Stewart's TV and Appliance. Elyria residents receive a $1 ticket discount with a valid ID. The Crushers will also celebrate the start of the World Cup with World Cup Wednesday. Soccer-themed promotions will take place throughout the night to bring the World Cup experience to Avon.
The Lake Erie Crushers, the 2009 Frontier League Champions, play ball at All Pro Freight Stadium located in Avon, OH. Beginning in 2010, All Pro Freight Stadium will also be home to the Cleveland State University baseball team.
