Avon, OH - Mark your calendars because the Lake Erie Crushers, the defending Frontier League Champions, will open their season at All Pro Freight Stadium on Friday, May 21. The Crushers open the season with a three game series against the Traverse City Beach Bums. Friday and Saturday’s games will begin at 7:05 p.m. while Sunday’s first pitch will be at 5:05 p.m. Times are subject to change.
The opening series will be a special three days for the team and fans. The weekend will be filled with exciting promotions, including a championship ceremony, a special giveaway for the fans, and a Fireworks Extravaganza on Friday to kick off the season.
Expectations for the 2010 season are high and General Manager Ryan Gates is looking to start an opening day tradition, “We packed the house last year for opening day, fan support grew throughout the year, and we won the league championship. We have great fans and I fully expect them to come out in full force again this season. We expect to pack the stadium full for the whole weekend and not just Opening Day.”
Individual tickets go on sale in the spring. Fans who want to ensure their seat early can do so by purchasing a 2010 season ticket package. Full season ticket plans are available now and the popular half-season and 12-game mini-plans will be available soon.
