AVON, Ohio - The Lake Erie Crushers fell in the second game of their three game series against the Gateway Grizzlies by a score of 7-0 at All Pro Freight Stadium in front of 2,943 attendees. Lake Erie’s record now stands at 7-13.

Mike Inselmann started the game, and was tagged with the loss for the Crushers. Inselmann went 1.2 innings, while allowing seven earned runs and one strikeout.

The Crushers settled the Grizzlies scoring down by tossing 7.1 innings of shutout baseball and three strikeouts. The bullpen for Saturday’s game consisted of Ben Klafczynski, Chance Gilmore, Randy Sturgill, and Kellyn Schellenberg.

Adrian Ortiz collected two base hits on the evening, as he hit out of the leadoff spot. He raised his season average to .261.

Lake Erie will finish off this three game set Sunday against Gateway at 5:05 pm with gates opening one hour prior. Sunday’s game will feature a Country Promotion and Kids Day, which happens each Sunday home game.
