Crushers Rip London in Win, 5-2

AVON, Ohio – The Lake Erie Crushers (22-21) defeated the London Rippers (17-26) by a score of 5-2 in the first game of a three game series at All Pro Freight Stadium on Tuesday night in front of 1,718 attendees.

Paul Fagan started and earned the win for the Crushers, which improves his record to 4-3. Fagan went 6.0 innings while allowing one earned run and struck out four.

Adrian Ortiz, J.C. Figueroa, and Brian Erie Each collected two base hits. Ortiz also had two RBI in the win.

Russell Moldenhauer recorded one base hit and two drove in two runs for Lake Erie. He has now registered seven RBI over six games.

The Crushers will be back in action against the Rippers on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m., which will include a postgame Firework Spectacular in honor of Independence Day.  A pre-game tailgate will be available for all fans interested in the All Pro Freight Stadium parking lot.
