AVON, Ohio – The Lake Erie Crusers (25-23) fell to the Southern Illinois Miners (29-19) by a score of 5-4 on Sunday afternoon at All Pro Freight Stadium in front of 2,815 attendees. Paul Fagan started for the Crushers, and went 7.0 innings with five strikeouts while allowing three runs. Fagan was given a no-decision in the loss. Andrew Davis, Brian Erie, and Brandon Decker each collected two base hits during the game. Erie and Decker also had one RBI a piece. Daniel Bowman and Jason Figueroa also had one hit for the Crushers. Three Crushers (Jonathan Kountis, Russell Moldenhauer, and Fagan) will head to Normal, Ill. next week to play in the Frontier League All Star Game. The Crushers will be back in action on Friday, July 13 when they will travel to River City, Mo. for a three game series.
