Steinborn rejoins the Crushers for his fourth season.  In his experience with the Crushers he helped lead the team to a 2009 Frontier League Championship and another 2011 playoff appearance. His pitching staff through four seasons has consistently been one of the top staff’s in the league. He coached the 2009 pitcher of the year and has had 5 pitchers make the All-star team from 2009-2011.

Before joining the Crushers, Steinborn pitched professionally for 7 years. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in 2002 and spent 3 seasons there before getting rule 5 drafted to the Colorado Rockies. In his final season of affiliate ball he played at the “AA” level with the San Diego Padres. His career finished out in the Atlantic League of Independent Baseball in 2008. Some of his accomplishments include a Midwest League Championship with Detroit in 2004, an All-star nod in 2004 also with the West Michigan Whitecaps, and an All-star nod with the 2007 York Revolution of the Atlantic League.
