Steinborn joins the Crushers for his second season as the team’s pitching coach. He brings to the staff seven years of professional pitching experience. Drafted in 2002 by the Detroit Tigers, he spent four seasons in affiliated baseball, reaching as high as the San Diego Padres “AA” team in Mobile, AL. Some of his professional honors include an All-Star nod in 2004 while playing for the Detroit Tigers single “A” team, the Grand Rapids White Caps, and another All-Star appearance in 2007 while playing for the York Revolution of the Atlantic League. As a coach, he has seven years of experience teaching private, group and team lessons.

Massarelli says, "I felt very fortunate to be able to add Chris to my coaching staff once he decided to retire from playing. He is a very good communicator with a solid coaching career ahead of him."
