Brian is set to begin his second year behind the plate for the Crushers. 

 In 25 games for the Crushers in 2011, Erie hit .337 with 15 runs batted in. He had two doubles and three RBIs in his Crushers debut on July 20th against Rockford. Erie was also solid defensively for the Crushers, with a .987 fielding percentage behind the plate and 12 runners caught stealing.

Before joining the Crushers, Erie was a standout player for the Norse of Northern Kentucky University. During the course of his college career, Erie won three All Great Lakes Valley Conference honors, two All Region honors, and one Rawlings Gold Glove Award. 

Erie attended Saint Xavier High School in Louisville, KY, where he earned three varsity letters. Brian was born in Louisville. His parents, Steve and Judy, have two other children, Lauren Berger and Shaun Erie. In his free time, Brian likes fishing, shooting, golf and basketball.
