Jonathan Kountis is set to begin his first season as a member of the Lake Erie Crushers.

Kountis spent two seasons on the New York Mets organization. In 2010, he played his ball on the Coney Island boardwalk for the Brooklyn Cyclones. 

Kountis spent the 2011 season with the Kingsport Mets, where he made five appearances spanning 5.1 innings. He averaged a strikeout per inning and allowed only two walks. The Akron, Ohio native is expected to join the backend of the Crushers’ bullpen this season.
