Of the six returning players for 2011, Collins looks to take control not only behind the plate but at bat as well.  Last season Collins only trailed Andrew Davis in batting average after hitting .257 for the season.

Collins spent three seasons at the University of South Alabama, where he hit .335 with 10 home runs in his senior season.

Collins was a 10th round draft pick in 2007 by the Toronto Blue Jays. The Canadian's best season in the minors was 2008, when he hit .296 and recorded a nifty .381 on-base percentage across three different single-A teams.
